Victorious!
As I was singing in church this morning this particular song rejoiced my heart. Its called, "marvelous light." It talkes about how death has lost its sting and how we are out of darkness, out of shame and into the light. As children of the king, our old nature was crucified on that cross and now we have risen with Christ and we have a new nature. We can rejoice because we have victory over the power and darkness of sin and death! Jesus saves, Jesus loves, Jesus is our victorious savior! Praise Him!
54But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory. 55"O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?"
56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; 57but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinithians 15:54-57, NKJV)
