Jesus went to the temple and was angry because the people had turned the temple into a "den of thieves" the people were using the temple, the house of God to sell their stuff and rip people off. Jesus said;  ...   “Is it not written, ‘ My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’ ? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ " Luke 19:46 When Solomon built the temple he prayed and said; 27  “But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Prayer is a key component to the growth of a Christian. It connects us to God and strengthens our faith. God cares about even the smallest detail of our lives. I used to think that it was silly to ask for little things but he cares about even the smallest things. One day I was coming home from a long day and I realized that I forgot my gate remote to open the gate to get into our condo complex. When this happens I usually have to get out of the car and call my husband’s cell phone to open the gate. Sometimes he doesn’t answer and I could be stuck out there for ten minutes. I said, “Lord please let the gate be open when I get home, I’m so tired and I don’t want to get out of the car and wait, I know it’s a silly prayer but I just need this little thing.” I got to the gate and someone from the other side was sitting on the curb with her remote control aimed at the gate and opening it!
