Jesus is enough
I was reflecting on Easter week and I got some postcards from church to hand out for this weekend so I was praying about who I was planning to hand them out to. My neighbor said happy Easter! Perfect opportunity, I asked her if she went to a church and she admitted she didn't so I invited her and gave her a card. I am feeling more of an urgency for the salvation of others, as our world grows dark and corrupted and Easter is the perfect time to invite others to church. The T.V. miniseries, the Bible has millions of viewers tuning in and Hollywood is astounded by the ratings, but the truth is- is that there is a desperate world that is hungry and thirsty for the truth and the hope that is only found in Christ Jesus. Maybe their tuning into the Bible because our lives are not reflecting the bible. It's easy as Christians to get distracted by problems, self, life, sin, that we forget who it is all about- Jesus. We need to have thankful hearts for the blood that was shed by having repentant hearts and at the same time living in victory and joy because of the resurrection.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all Isaiah 53:5-6
There are some that live like they can do enough, or be enough and then God will forgive but it will never be enough, there is nothing you can do that will ever make you right with God- only believe and repent - Jesus is enough.
We need to live like resurrection Christians, we can walk in victory, with no condemnation because he paid the price for our sin and the just live by faith. We have to live like we believe in the cross and the resurrection and have an answer for the hope that lies within.
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

So as we reflect on the sacrifice, the perfect lamb of God, Jesus, we can have great joy and walk in confidence in what Jesus did. Circumstances change, the world may change but God's word never changes! Jesus wants our light to shine so that others will be saved, so don't let anything take your joy away!
Blessings.
