For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 15:10
When Jesus walked into the temple and cleaned it out of the money changers, the children there were shouting; Hosanna to the Son of David,” they ( the priests) became indignant 16 and said to Him, “Do You hear what these children are saying?” And Jesus *said to them, “Yes; have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies You have prepared praise for Yourself’?”
The children there knew who Jesus was and they were praising Him in spirit and truth. The fascinating thing about children is that they can see and know what is good.
Jesus told the disciples that;
Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3
I think that we are pre- wired to love and know God from the womb. (Psalm 139:13)Some of us are brought up in the church and its cultivated, and our faith, and the truth of Jesus is built in, others come to know the truth later but it's already inside us to know him. God also makes it evident in his creation that there is a creator, so that there is no excuse.
Our world is steadily advancing toward the reign of Christ but there are still many who are lost, and so He waits for all to come to repentance. Some fall away from the faith because of the lures of this world, others fall into temptation and some like Judas were never believers. Whatever the case but it is Gods will that everyone be saved.
In Matthew 18 Jesus tells a story about the shepherd that had 100 sheep and there was one that went astray, he says wouldn't that shepherd look for that sheep? In the same ways Jesus came to seek and save the lost in this world.
Matthew 18:14 So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish.
Each person is precious in the eyes of God and Jesus went to the lowest in society, he makes no distinction but looks at the heart.
There's been so many calamities and natural disasters and yes people have died because of these things but what amazes me the most is how many people survive! God is patient and long suffering toward us and some of us Christians groan at the state of our country, our world, and the suffering, but God allows it and waits because he is a good loving father and wants all to be saved.
God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah but not before he took Lot and his family out. Abraham wanted to know the heart of God so he asked; "will you indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked?"... Abraham asked; "suppose ten are found there? (in the city to be destroyed) and God answered; "I will not destroy it on account of the ten." Genesis 18: 24, 32-33

8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you,not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 1 Peter 3:8-9
We all have neighbors, friends, co- workers, and relatives that are lost, pray for them today, share the love of our creator and what he has done for you, that they would be reconciled to their creator.
